Welcome to the Archdeaconry of Nassau, a geographic grouping of forty churches stretching from Bellerose to Farmingdale and from Glen Cove to Long Beach, which includes the whole of Nassau County. We are a diverse people composed of parishes and missions of various size, from differing backgrounds, and, increasingly, from numerous cultures. Our suburban and small town history is influenced by changing demographics, offering both challenges and greater opportunities for service in the name of Christ our Lord.

Theodore Bean
The Venerable
Theodore W. Bean,
Archdeacon

Nassau is the home of our diocesan campus which includes the offices of the Bishop, the Department of Finance and Administration, Clergy Deployment, Episcopal Charities of Long Island, The Dominion, our diocesan news publication, and Youth Ministries. Located at the same Garden City campus is the Cathedral of the Incarnation and the George Mercer, Jr. Memorial School of Theology.

The Archdeaconry is divided into three active Deaneries. During the past several years, we have been blessed with the addition of a number of talented, energetic, and creative clergy new to the Diocese.

Repair to the spire and other improvements and renovations to the fabric of the Cathedral of the Incarnation are under way. Of equal importance is the expansion of the George Mercer Jr. Memorial School of Theology under the Rev. Canon Denis Brunelle’s leadership. Both the Mercer School and the Cathedral are enhancing their respective roles as centers of diocesan life.

We welcome you to the life and worship of Jesus Christ on a daily basis. Please join us!

The Ven. Theodore W. Bean, Jr.
Archdeacon of Nassau
