Episcopal Charities of Long Island launched its “Angels” initiative with a friendly, informal and inspiring morning, on May 31, 2008, for the Angels of the Central Nassau Deanery. The event was held at St. George’s Church in Hempstead.

We were fed from beginning to end, with Eucharist, exciting visuals and discussion about Episcopal Charities, friends both new and old, and plenty of good food.

It was awesome to launch the parish “Angels” ministry on the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary! As Mother Clare said in her homily, we, too, are both receiving a new message and becoming messengers of a new hope.

Episcopal Charities is an invaluable blessing to our Diocese. We are excited about spreading the good news of God’s abundant generosity through this agency. Don’t miss a chance to become an “Angel” of good news, too!
